Fania Joseph is an Attorney with over seven years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on trust law, legal advisory, and the interpretation and implementation of evolving legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Fania holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from the Eugene Dupuch Law School. She was called to the Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in 2017 and is also a Notary Public.
Fania is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), reflecting her specialised expertise in trust and fiduciary services. She is a member in good standing of The Bahamas Bar Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Fania joined the Private Trust Corporation Limited on August 14, 2023 as a Legal Officer within the Client Relationship Department and was appointed Legal Counsel on January 1, 2026. Prior to joining the Company, she served as a Legal and Policy Officer at the Bahamas Financial Services Board, where she worked closely with regulators and policymakers on legal and regulatory matters impacting financial services, and contributed to industry-focused initiatives. She also served as an Attorney at the Office of the Attorney General, where she gained experience in litigation and legal advisory.
