Mr. Elwood Bonimy is a 1986 graduate of The College of The Bahamas. He subsequently completed professional studies at BPP and Emile Woolf College of Accountancy in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Miami. In addition, he has attained the Series 7 securities certification and TEP designation for Trust and Estate Practitioners.

In 1995, he was appointed the Manager of Finance at the Bahamas Electricity Corporation Limited. Mr. Bonimy joined The Private Trust Corporation Limited in 2001, appointed the Chief Financial Officer in January 2006, and a Director in December 2015.
